Kinly Care expands UK complex care portfolio with strategic acquisitions

Kinly Care has announced the acquisition of Alpha Health Care Group and Absolute Care Homes, significantly expanding its portfolio of specialist complex care services across the UK.

The acquisitions mark an important milestone in Kinly Care’s continued growth and further strengthen its position as one of the UK’s leading providers of complex dementia, neurological, and nursing care, supporting a broader strategy focused on meeting the needs of some of the most-vulnerable elderly people in society.

Kinly Care’s expansion is underpinned by a clear strategic focus: the development of specialist care services designed to support individuals transitioning from hospital settings or their own homes, helping to reduce pressure on acute services and ensuring people receive the right care in the right environment.

The organisation specialises in supporting people living with dementia, neurological conditions, and complex health needs, delivering tailored care pathways, purpose-designed environments, and highly-trained multi-disciplinary teams.

This model enables Kinly Care to support individuals with high-dependency needs while promoting dignity, safety and quality of life.

“These acquisitions represent an important step forward for Kinly Care,” said Eddie Coomes, chief executive.

“Alpha Health Care Group and Absolute Care Homes share our values and our commitment to delivering specialist, person-centred care.

“Our strategy is focused on developing complex care services that support people at their most vulnerable — whether they are transitioning from hospital or can no longer be supported safely at home.”

Looking ahead, Kinly Care has outlined a clear ongoing focus on strengthening its impact within local communities, alongside the continued development of a dedicated dementia strategy aimed at enhancing specialist care pathways, environments, and outcomes for people living with dementia.

And a core part of Kinly Care’s growth journey is its people.

As the organisation continues to expand, it is committed to creating meaningful career development and progression opportunities for existing staff, investing in training, leadership development, and internal promotion.

“As we grow, it is incredibly important to us that our colleagues grow with us,” Coomes said.

“Supporting our teams to develop their skills, progress their careers, and shape the future of Kinly Care is a fundamental part of the our journey and long-term vision.”
