Gwynfa Lodge Care Home, a group of three residential care homes in North Wales, has been sold to established operator, Skyline Care, in a deal brokered by Redwoods Dowling Kerr (RDK).

The group comprises Towyn Capel Residential Home in Trearddur Bay, and Gwynfa Residential Home and Gwynfa II The Lodge near Caernarfon.

Together, the homes provide residential care for adults including those living with dementia and other complex care needs, supporting up to 73 individuals.

Each home offers a comfortable and homely environment with scenic surroundings and facilities designed to support residents’ wellbeing and independence.

The business has a long-standing history within the region, with the first home originally acquired by the Langford family in 1987.

The group later expanded with the addition of Gwynfa Residential Home in 1995 and Gwynfa II The Lodge, which reopened in 2011 following refurbishment.

Under the ownership of Marian Langford and her husband, the homes developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care within their local communities.

All three homes are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales and have received positive outcomes in their most-recent inspections.

The homes benefit from established relationships with local authorities and provide an important service within the region, with residents encouraged to maintain their independence and personal choice.

Solicitors Elsie Lyford and James Corrigan at Barcan+Kirby LLP advised the sellers and the transaction was managed and negotiated by Karrina Lee, senior sales negotiator for healthcare at RDK.

Lee said: “These homes are a well-established care offering in North Wales, with a proud history of supporting residents and their families.

“It was a pleasure working with the owners and completing the sale to Skyline Care, an experienced operator committed to maintaining the excellent standard of care.”
