Silverburn Care has announced plans to expand its offering to better meet the needs of people with complex care needs.
A new purpose-built complex care unit is to be created at Silverburn Care Home in Glasgow to support individuals with high-dependency needs and long-term health conditions.
The specialised facility will offer the very latest in clinical equipment, therapeutic technology, and adaptive care – designed to empower every resident to live with comfort, dignity, and as much independence as possible as they move from hospital into longer-term care.
“This is not about investing in things that look good on the surface. It is about building, together, a stronger foundation for people, care, and community,” said a spokesman.
“Silverburn is now entering a new chapter that’s not just about improvement, but about transformation driven by people.”
They added: “Whether due to neurological conditions, severe physical disabilities, progressive illnesses, or multiple long-term diagnoses, we understand that complex care requires a thoughtful, tailored approach.
“That’s why this new unit is being developed to deliver highly-personalised support, with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team and an environment that balances medical precision with the warmth of a home.”
The floorplan has been carefully designed to prioritise accessibility, safety, and peace of mind, with private rooms, increased staffing to offer one-to-one personalised attention, soothing shared spaces, and all the infrastructure required to deliver round-the-clock complex care with confidence.
The revamp marks the most-significant investment in Silverburn’s history.
