Off‑market sale of two complex care nursing homes to US REIT

NGA Care has completed the off‑market sale of two purpose‑built nursing homes in the West Midlands in a transaction that further highlights sustained international investor appetite for high‑quality UK healthcare real estate.
The assets have been acquired by a US‑based Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and will be operated under a long‑term lease by Kinly Care.
The portfolio includes:
- Boldmere Court Care Home, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham – a 68‑bed, all‑ensuite nursing home providing complex care and specialist dementia services
- The Village Nursing Home, Brierley Hill, West Midlands – a 90‑bed, all‑ensuite facility delivering complex dementia care and high‑acuity nursing support
Both homes are modern, purpose‑built assets with strong trading performance and established reputations for delivering complex care.
The sale enables the long‑standing owner to retire from the sector.
Nick Greaves, managing director of NGA Care, who led the confidential sales process, said: “These are high‑performing, purpose‑built assets delivering essential complex care services, and we are pleased to have supported our client in achieving a successful retirement outcome while securing a strong operational future for both homes.”
Eddie Coomes, chief executive at Kinly Care, added: “These acquisitions represent an important step forward for Kinly Care.
“Absolute Care Homes shares our values and commitment to delivering specialist,person-centred care.
“Our strategy is focused on developing complex care services that support people at their most vulnerable — whether they are transitioning from hospital or can no longer be supported safely at home.”
