Neuro rehabilitation centre opens its doors in Kent
Hothfield Neurological Rehabilitation Centre has opened its doors in Kent, marking the newest addition to Active Neuro’s expanding network of services.
The service specialises in intensive neurological rehabilitation for adults with complex conditions resulting from injury, illness, or disease.
Guests from across sectors, including solicitors, charities, case managers, as well as colleagues from Active Care Group and former patients, were welcomed on Tuesday with a drinks reception to mark the opening of the service, on the first of the three planned open evenings.
With a selection of food catered by Apetito, guests took a tour of the newly-refurbished service and were able to see the new robotic and assistive technology used to enhance rehabilitation, the state-of-the-art hydro pool, and accessible ensuite bedrooms.
This service combines skilled, hands-on clinical care with cutting-edge technology to support individuals through some of the most-challenging periods in their lives
The leadership team then discussed how its technology-enhanced clinical pathways are leading the way in a new era of neurorehabilitation.
Chief medical officer and managing director of Active Neuro, Dr Amit Chatterjee, said: “The launch of Hothfield Neurological Rehabilitation Centre is another important step in our commitment to making high-quality neurological rehabilitation more accessible across the UK.
“This service combines skilled, hands-on clinical care with cutting-edge technology to support individuals through some of the most-challenging periods in their lives.”
Ruth Lambert, interim hospital director, added: “It’s been fantastic to see the Hothfield team come together with such energy and purpose.
“From the start, we’ve been focused on building a service that not only delivers exceptional care, but also creates a safe, welcoming environment for individuals and their families during rehabilitation.”
