Plans to open a new housing development for people with learning disabilities on Guernsey have been delayed, according to reports.
Designed by DRP Architecture, and being constructed by Rihoy and Son, the scheme is subject to minor delays, Guernsey Housing Association (GHA) has revealed.
Lisa de Kooker, GHA chief operating officer, said the developers had ‘continued to make good progress’, but there was ‘a number of standards the build needs to achieve before it can be handed over’.
Once completed La Vieille Plage at L’Islet will provide specialist accommodation for 14 people with learning disabilities, including those with complex needs.
