NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board (MSE ICB) has commissioned five new specialist providers to provide ADHD assessments and treatment for adults.
This means patients now have more choice for their care provider.
These new service providers provide much-needed additional capacity that will help to meet local demand for adult ADHD services and reduce waiting times for diagnosis and treatment.
The providers have undergone rigorous due diligence and quality assurance processes to ensure they meet the ICB’s standards for safety, clinical effectiveness, and continuity of care.
They are an MSE ICB-approved route for adult patients requesting referrals for ADHD services.
The following providers now form a network of locally-commissioned NHS services for adults in mid and south Essex.
In addition to the adult ADHD service already commissioned from Essex University Partnership Trust (EPUT), local GPs can now refer patients directly to one of these providers to support patient choice.
These new providers have been contracted to deliver the same service offer as EPUT. This includes ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and NHS-prescribed medication if clinically necessary.
Patients have the right to choose who provides their ADHD care.
And the above providers are commissioned by MSE ICB to support patient choice for mid and south Essex residents.
Adult patients can now request a referral to one of these locally-commissioned services.
